Institute of Portuguese Language and Culture (ICLP), “Instituto de Cultura e Língua Portuguesa”, is a teaching and research division in the Faculty of Arts of the University of Lisbon, the largest Portuguese university following the recent merge with the Classic University and the Technical University
MISSION
The ICLP’s mission further involves promoting research in the area of the acquisition and teaching of PFL and in the development of teaching material. Towards this aim, the ICLP is engaged in projects that focus on the development of linguistic resources and on material for in-class as well as distance instruction
Summer Courses
We organize Summer Courses during the months of July, August and September with an average attendance of more that 750 students as well as year-long courses divided in two semesters with approximately 500 students from all continents, mainly from Asia and Europe

Summer Course
Students are placed in the different language proficiency levels according to the results of an assessment test provided by IPLC.
All courses require a minimum number of 8 participants and a maximum of 15.
